In Frisco City, Texas, where Jennifer Achu now resides, August 1st was officially proclaimed as “Jennifer Achu Day.” 

This proclamation, which was made by the Mayor of Frisco during a city council meeting, reflects the deep appreciation the community holds for Jennifer’s contributions. Mayor Jeff Cheney’s proclamation calls upon all citizens of Frisco to “do their share to make a difference” in the community, a message that Jennifer Achu has wholeheartedly embraced.

Jennifer Achu actively contributes to various causes, both locally and internationally, holding positions such as the Frisco Inclusion Committee Ambassador, a member of the City of Frisco Urban Forestry Board, and an advisory board member of the Frisco Education Foundation.

Her commitment to empowerment extends to her dedication to young girls. She is the founder of the Miss Africa Texas Scholarship Pageant, an initiative that has provided multiple scholarships to young women in Texas for over a decade. Through this platform, she encourages young girls to dream big and reach for the stars.

Jennifer acknowledges the city’s role as a catalyst for her achievements and recognition, stating, “Your acceptance of me and my passions allowed me to grow and serve as an example of female leadership and empowerment to young women in Texas and beyond … I look forward to continuing my positive contributions to this amazing community and beyond through my JenAchu Foundation. I am dedicating this day (August 1st) to all the young girls near and far who dare to dream big.”

Jennifer Achu’s impact goes far beyond the borders of Texas, as she received international recognition at the 13th Edition of the African Achievers Awards, held in the UK House of Lords. This prestigious event celebrated African excellence by honoring individuals and organizations making significant contributions to the continent’s growth and development.

Among the honorees, Jennifer Achu, stood out for her exceptional work in helping small businesses and individuals navigate the complexities of the business world and establish credible brands. Her expertise and dedication have made her a true inspiration.

She has achieved a lot in diverse fields, from receiving the Boston Mayor Thomas Menino’s Youth Leadership 2004 award to earning titles like Miss Cameroon USA 2006, she has consistently excelled and made a positive impact.

In 2016, she authored her first book, “Finding Your Inner Purpose – The Journey,” to inspire young women to be the best versions of themselves through service. Now, she has completed the second version of her book, a testament to her ongoing dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
